Re: Destructive tests
I was thinking the manufacturers would give it a try. Kudos to liberty for having the balls to do it to a mystic! I'd really like to see a sparrow Ss on 5.56!
Re: Destructive tests
I know both liberty and swr put their .22 suppressors (Kodiak and Spectre 1) on a 16" .223 ar.
there was a member on here who put his mystic on a 7" .223
none of them blew up.

And let us not forget the inimitable Shooters Deposit (sic) who
are continually destructive testing their carbon cans ... well,
at least their customers are involuntarily participating.
Ah, just pulling your collective legs.

The first time in forever I've seen you write something funny and in a human manner. Must be coming down off whatever you're usually on. Welcome back.Historian wrote:And let us not forget the inimitable Shooters Deposit (sic) who

And here I thought that the once proud House of Este in Austria had its last known living male member in 1875.este wrote:The first time in forever I've seen you write something funny and in a human manner. Glad to see that your lineage did not have a total dead end.
Having visited the magnificent Villa d'Este in Tivoli I feel a sense of respect for a once
great family. May I humbly correct you by suggesting that you most likely
intended to use the word 'humane' instead of 'human'?
English is admittedly a difficult language to master for some. I confess that I make such faux pas in some of
the few other languages that I no longer have daily occasion to use.
I did enjoy and champion your try at a back handed slight with your
"coming down whatever you are on".
Good show, my man!
Truth be known I am always 'high' on great family, friends including the many I have made
on this site, and the daily joy of learning and sometimes even publishing.
Keep up the good work. Your posts are informative, at many levels.
A great day to you.
Re: Destructive tests
My English is poor (to say the least)......but I did get that last one! Ouch. Your posts remind me of how I picture my grandmother posting something while ribbing a fellow forum user (should she actually decide to have interest in this forum). She has been known to publish a few things as well in her lifetime......I never much understand what the hell she's saying in her writings though. LOL Guess the college we both attended had a huge slip in the English department from the year she graduated until the year I finished. LOL
I've gotta stop this habit.

.458 SOCOM though 45Osprey makes an Osprey as round as a Tirant pretty quick.
5.56 through 22Sparrow, 10 rds 16" , 10 rnds 10.5" and 10 rnds 7.5" ....Stack let go at some point midway (mid stack), nothing violent or catastrophic as I had hoped. Stack was broke, outer tube was ringed.

Re: Destructive tests
I got a SS sparrow that I run on my M11/9 with the lage .22 kit. I do nothing but straight mag dumps and just cook the sparrow. I usually will do 6 consecutive mag dumps, the sparrow will be just filled with lead, a quick cleaning in the Ultra sonic cleaner, and it back to new. I love the sparrow it works great it can definitely take a lot of .22 rounds in full auto. but it is rated for that.

Re: Destructive tests
I would never have tried anything less than a 16" barrel and not expected it to blow up! I'm really just wondering if in a true SHTF situation if it could work in a pinch under very limited conditions without killing itself, like in a 16+" barrel and 1 shot every 30 seconds. How did it sound on the 16"? Also was it the new sparrow or old?Gary_SilencerCo wrote:.458 SOCOM though 45Osprey makes an Osprey as round as a Tirant pretty quick.

Also, thanks for making a great product, it's now my favorite can out of the ones I listed.
