need Reflex, red dot experience

Post by paper9 »

I have tried the under $100 ones, Sightmark, Truglo and they do not hold up, even on 22lr hosts.
So, any advice for the above $100 but under Trijicon price models? Thanks.

Burris fastfire has worked well for me on rimfire rifles/pistols and 9mm pistol but you haven't shared what you plan to mount it on.

Vortex makes some good ones. The strikefire (get the red dot, NOT the red/green one cause its not bright enough) is a good buy. I like the SPARC myself, and the new SPARC II looks to be head and shoulders above the first one. Watch for them to go on sale at various places such as Palmetto State Armory.

The vortex looks like a good option, similarly priced to the Burris FFII

Mounted on the 10/22 on a good day at the range I can knock the snot out steel pigs and chickens at ~45 yards at a respectable pace.

Primary Arms has the best red dots out there. I have three to include on my ARs and they are the best. Ask me how I know (own Burris Fastfire, Truglo and Aimpoint). Inexpensive, many options and the smallest, best defined red dot I have seen. Good battery life also.

I use the crappy little Sig micro on my .22/.45. It has worked well for years now.

Had good luck with fastfire and Holosun depending on style your looking for.
