Good place to buy a Vortex Viper PST 6-24x50 FFP
Anyone have a spot with a good deal? Most places online seem to keep it at the 999 retail.
Thanks

If you're not in a hurry, make sure you also keep an eye on http://www.samplelist.com/ SWFA's sample list, usually find items in there for a great price, could have some ring marks on them, but still great buys.

I've noticed that about Vortex products, seem to be about the same price everywhere.

Better watch it with Optics Planet. They're fine if they have what you want in stock, but that scope shows on the product page that it is 45-90 days out.
When they normally go out of stock on an item, they don't show it on the site. You have to call to check availability. I ordered a scope, mount, and rings from them recently, and the rings weren't in stock. Waited a week after receiving an email that they were waiting on the rings, called, and I got "They should be in early next week." Called the following humpday, "Oh, it'll be two more weeks or so for those." I cancelled the rings, got them from SWFA while I was in the Dallas area one day, and the rest of the order came within a few days.
They sell on Amazon, and they have several other websites that look suspiciously structured just like theirs, too. For example, call the Range-Finders.com 800 number, and you get Optics Planet customer support.
Now looking at their feedback on Amazon, I see a few people that have had the same issue.
Bottom line, call and make sure an item's in stock before you buy something from Optics Planet.

yeah i noticed the lead time actually shows on amazon which is nice.
http://www.amazon.com/Vortex-Viper-6-24 ... 932&sr=8-3
But if you cant rely on that whats the point. The nice thing is there are several other sites that appear to have it in stock at the same price.

I thought, for a .308, a 24 power scope was a little over the top. So I went with the 4-16x50.

Thats funny I just passed on a 308 setup that I love simply because I wanted 24x over the 14x that came on that rifle.

Yeah, Scott is good to go. I've bought many scopes from him. I loved the original Vipers but haven't tried the PST yet.bonebreak2000 wrote:libertyman777 wrote:Scott Berish at Liberty Optics.

I was in their shop the other day and I think they had one for 849.00
I'm looking to buy the 2.5-10 viper myself. 599.00 their price on that.
