Florida Silencerco Dealers?

Post by JJinParadise » Mon Mar 02, 2015 11:58 am

Just realized I have not posted an intro:
Born in upstate NY, moved to Florida 67'.
30 yrs with IBM
Army, 68-76,, 3yrs AD & 5yrs NG, MOS 31542 or the new 18A
A Co 6th SFG(A), 2/7 Cav, 1st CAV, & C/3/20th SFG(A) FLNG
Had to get out because of a bad landing, lost jump status.
I have built a couple weapons and now finally set up a trust thanks to Silencerco Trust offer.

I will start with a 22lr, currently the Sparrow is at the top of my list.
Would also do something for my AR's and .357-45 cal pistoles.

Thanks for letting this old FOG in..

So,, Has anyone used a dealer in the Melbourne Florida??

Two are listed on Silencerco site.

Going Quiet1101 W. Hibiscus Blvd#103AMelbourne FL 32901United States

ACTION GUN & ARCHERY LLC DBA1472 N HARBOR CITY BLVDMELBORNE FL 32935United States

Thanks
JJ

Can't tell you about those dealers but I can tell you this, local dealer with the can in stock will save you around 6 weeks of wait time.

I'm waiting on three cans from Silener Shop out of Texas and they've been awesome, but it would be nice to handle the can prior to buying it and get it sooner.

Take it FWIW, and welcome to the forum

Are you talking about "active" military or a "veteran" when you say military? So you only sell to "LE/Military or First Responders"?

As I read their web site it's AD ID card, LEO's need a letter, EMT's ??

BUT, I would be happy to be wrong..

Merrett Island is just up the road a bit..

Going Quiet used to charge by the hour for NFA paperwork. There was quite a thread over on AR15.com about it a couple of years ago.

I'd make sure of what I was getting into before I commited to anything with him.

I have used Going Quiet with no issues for one silencer purchase (believe it was the Sparrow).

B&H Bun Sales was one of the major sponsors of the 2015 Florida State IDPA Championships held this past weekend in Palm Bay. Believe they supplied one of the raffle guns, as well as volunteered to do any of the FFL transfers to those that won a gun at the raffle.

I don't think you could go wrong with either one. Going Quiet is a one man operation. B&H supports the shooting sports. If Merritt Island is not too far, I would opt for B&H as they give back to the gun community.

Personally, if the price is competitive, I'd support the one man shop to help him grow into someone able to give back. Everyone has to start somewhere...

Steve

Did Going Quiet have inventory
or did you wait
or did you purchase thru someone like the Silencer Co web site and have it delivered to GQ??

I understand there can be several months difference, between having inventory and waiting for the factory..

Thanks
JJ
