How about this tidbit straight from an Israeli writer and Israeli news site?

If anyone bothers to read this nonsense, here's my interpretation of the most blatantly falacious 'logic' in the essay. Supposedly Hamas and 'Arabs' are those owning responsibility for the masses of civilians being slaughtered, because Israel offers advance warning of missile strikes on civilian targets, but Hamas issues specific entreaties to its citizens not to leave, to ignore this 'propaganda.' Does the IDF actually believe that Hamas members are going to stay in such targeted buildings themselves after Israel announces impending attacks? Does the Israeli government truly believe that Hamas will leave weapons caches or artillery installations in place at such addresses? I rather doubt that Israel believes such fantasies, and doubt Hamas is so stupid with their soldiers and resources as to leave them in a missile's path.

So what is Israel's intention with carrying out such missile attacks, on what must surely be either empty buildings or civilian-populated buildings? Or mosques? Or hospitals? Why, to generate anti-Hamas sentiment, obviously. And in this sentiment I am certainly in agreement; Hamas has proven itself unworthy to govern and protect its people, and ought to be replaced with a body with a deep committment to finding a path towards peace. But until such a body presents itself and takes charge, why does Israel believe it has the right to murder masses of civilians? They did so, frequently in gross violation of the rules of war (incendiary bombs on civilian targets being one of the most obvious, along with blatantly anti-civilian warheads which launched barbed metal schrapnel into crowded civilian areas and many other atrocities) several years ago, and they're doing it again now in their air attacks. These repeated laments about how Israel itself is under constant threat are absurdly exaggerated considering the pathetic capabilities of Hamas' arsenal. The Palestinian civilians are disposable pawns in a propaganda war, from the perspective of the leadership on both sides. Until these people realise this they will be stuck with bad leadership, and will continue to be murdered by the inhumane attackers from Israel. Not defenders. That's an absurdist title Israel cannot claim with any legitimacy.
