What are the numbers on the end of this can used for?

There are 5 numbers and the flash suppressor mount has multi-start threading which can start in 5 different positions. You can try each one and whichever has the least point-of-impact shift is the number you should always use for that specific rifle. So when you screw on the can, you start with that number at the top. The entire can mounts with ONE twist! And the number comes back to the top. Very cool.
The final production verson will not have the raised area, and will have M4-2000 style flutes at the back.
This is an over-the-barrel style can, like the Surefire, Reflex, Troy, etc.
