The only YHM product I've ever owned was a front sight and wasn't too impressed with it.
How are their silencers? Good rep?
Yankee Hill has a history of being a machine shop long before they turned to making suppressors. The newest YH sights, hand guards and other parts seem to be of very high quality... I just got a few YH items in from Brownell's and they look, feel and fit great.
Onto their suppressors... YH was one of the first suppressor makers to make truly inexpensive quiet cans... I think as a result of their low cost people have thought that they were poorly made or of inferior quality. I know of at least four guys who shoot them at the range and everyone of them sounds like any other suppressor in their caliber class from 10 yards away... there just isn't that much difference in suppressors at a distance when comparing similar lengths and calibers... unless you are shooting some really old from the 80's cans which are definitely noisier than today's.
I can think of two specific where I heard two separate 30 cal YH all titanium Phantoms being shot. The first was on a 5.56 16" barrel and I later went the three benches over and asked what kind of can it was and was he shooting Blackouts! He was shooting green tip and for some reason that day at the barely 36 yard range I couldn't hear any sonic crack... maybe because of the short range or air density or who knows but I had my earpro off and I have excellent tested every year when I was a firefighter hearing... retired about 4 years ago and always wear expensive earpro. The second time I heard a 30 cal YH titanium Phantom was when it was being shot on a 300 Blackout with about a registered sbr with about a 14" barrel and part of the suppressor hidden under the hand guards a la MP5 SD... It was quieter than the 9mm P226 next to it shooting 157 gr subs with a Tirant 9M suppressor.
The original all titanium phantoms are on sale now because YH is coming out with a version with new engraving or a new knurled end cap or something and literally dumping the originals to dealers at about half the original cost. A friend of mine is getting one for around $600, months ago they were $900+
I haven't bought any yet but just signed up as a dealer for them and am thinking of getting two of the older titanium 30 cal Phantoms as soon as my tax refund gets here!
too much stuff to list...
