Numbers for Guardian 9 by Huntertown Arms

Post by whispershot »

I can't seem to find anyone on the web who's metered the Guardian 9 with a 9mm host and/or a 300 Blackout host. Does anyone know of anyone who's metered this can? The can is really inexpensive. It uses K baffles, so I would expect it to perform well.

Give it a shot.

It's only a $200 tax and a year's wait.

If it sucks, it's only another $200 and another year to get something good.

Truer words have never been spoken. Spend the extra 200 that you'll have in another tax stamp, and upgrade now. You'll kick yourself in the nuts for having to wait 2 years to get the can you should have bought the first time around. Get an Octane, Mystic, or TiRant, and don't worry about looking back.

Buy once, cry once............
You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.

NFAtalk might have some numbers, they've tested other huntertown.

Just beware you may not get good service from them and their centerfire cans are louder than most.

What's that?,,,,,,,now you ask which is the one to get? Octane 9

Granted it is from a rifle, but here are some numbers:

I would assume a pistol would be louder.

I have one. It's not bad. I have heard an Octane 9 on the same host and I think the Octane 9 is noticeably quieter, though I have not heard them back to back. I was super short on cash when I bought my Guardian 9 so I am okay with it. I simply could not afford an Octane 9. However, being in the position I am a couple years later, I would buy the Octane 9.

If you simply cannot afford an Octane 9 then the Guardian 9 will do. Otherwise, I would get the Octane.

I ended up buying the TiRant 45. I am very happy with it. Stamp took 6 months and 2 days. I was happy about that too considering it had been taking 10 months when I filed the form 4. Thanks for everyone's advice ... I'm sure I wouldn't have been as happy with the Huntertown arms can.
