Thanks,
What caliber you want it for? Aren't they in different classes: Alpha for 50bmg and vers50 for lower pressure rounds like 50beo, 458 socom, etc.

Yes, both classes, info is appreciated.
Re: Bowers Vers 50 or Elite Iron 50/alpha
I have this experience with the Bowers Vers 50;
Used for 50 BMG.
647 grain bullets with Trail Boss and Red Dot both with loads that result in
subsonic velocity, MagnetoSpeed chrono.
The Bowers unit increases the velocity about 50 fps from non-suppressed velocity.
Platform; 22 inch barrel, 1-15 twist, single shot bolt.
The Bowers Vers 50 gets these to a 22 caliber unsuppressed sound level.
The point of impact is shifted a lot at 75 yards.
This can is only for subsonic 50 BMG.
At about 75 - 100 yards the 647 grain bullets become unstable.

Re: Bowers Vers 50 or Elite Iron 50/alpha
Ive used the Alpha on full power 50, full power 50 Alaskan as well as Alaskan subs. Good performance on all. The subs were silly quiet, about like 44 subs through a TiRant; not quite Hollywood quiet, but quite satisfactory.

I have the Elite Iron Alpha. I had them make a non-standard thread pattern (1.5"-14) for my LAR. It is plenty quiet. Most recently I put some PMC "bronze" through it. Acts as a very effective muzzle brake as well.
