is there some place that describes categories or classifications based on design types? something where I could say "oh yeah, brand x can is based on the yyy design but brand z uses the abc method"
it would be really helpful if one of the more knowledgeable people here were to put together a sort of "buyers guide" for these things that contrasts the styles and construction types and materials.
obviously, length, weight and db reduction are the big ones, and there's lots of coverage of that here already. But I'm talking about things that would indicate how easy they are to maintain, or whether or not you can take them apart and clean them, or just have to hose them out because they're welded together. Also, how the cans attach.
maybe included could be discussions of wet vs dry and when you need a pump.
or...maybe just a FAQ?
