Excellent work, kind of surprised by a couple of the results... might have to rethink my can selection.

You and a lot of other people I think.

That can didn't do as well as people were told it would. My guess is the whole quieter on shorter barrels thing may be true sometimes but is certainly not the rule.

I myself am looking forward to more 762 can testing, and probably a 762-SD if AAC ever gets around to updating it, I feel like it would be a bad idea for me to buy a 3-4 year old silencer design right now.

Yeah, I was about to drop a wad of cash on a new 7.62 can this week, but now, I'm pretty hesitant. Might have to invest it in another NFA project while I wait for more test results or updated cans to come out...

Ha, I'm not jumping ship yet Emilio, just hesitating. I love AAC cans, but I'm going to have to see some better results on future tests before I drop $1200 on one...

Not to hijack this at all but was anybody else impressed with the fact that the 9mm can did just as well as some of the others? and that leads to another question. does anyone else know how well a 9mm would work on a 5.56 or if it would last long term on a rifle like a 300blk or 5.56?

Most 9mm cans would get destroyed on a 5.56, rather quickly.

No, that makes perfect sense.

9mm cans are designed to work with lower-pressure gasses with are exactly what a subsonic 300 BLK produces.

The problem comes when you heat up those aluminum cans with multiple or fast shooting, nevermind the much higher pressures from supersonic rifle rounds. A typical 9mm can is not long for the world on supersonic rifle use, could be very dangerous.
