SO will this thread right on a SBR SLR107UR? Would I need to send the gun in to make sure everything is kosher for alignment?

No it was done to make a point, it was a custom thread job per the video.

If it doesn't splatter, shatter, burst or explode, it's not worth shooting.

So I have to get my Krink threaded in the 5/8-24 or does it come in the metric thread also?

It comes 14x1 standard, but is available in other optional thread patterns:
Threads: 14x1mm LH (supplied)

1/2-28, 1/2-36, 5/8-24, 24x1.5mm (optional)

I have an AAC krinkov can for 24mm, how about doing a 26mm adapter for my M92? I'm very interested at this point.

One of my local gun shops has a couple .30 cal kestrel's for sale. I may have to pick one up.

Is it just me or does this look like a hybrid of an Octane HD (baffle style) and Osprey (split tube). I just haven't seen those features anywhere else.

Please understand that I'm super excited about this. This looks like the perfect can design. User servicable, split can (protects serial #), split baffles (cheap replacements), omni-mounts.... I'm drooling over the features. As long as performance is there I'm one happy clam.

And why don't more people do this? SWR does 1/2 of this and SilencerCo does the other 1/2. I don't get it.

Probably because it's less of an issue if you check your stuff before hand (thread job, can stays tight). Not saying it's not a 'nice to have', but it's going to come at probably an extra expense on the manufacturing side and possibly a loss of strength/added failure point.

I just finished up making some 24mm adapters for the Kestral cans, I currently have 7.62x39, 5.56 and 762x51 or (.30 cal). My host rifles AK74u and AKMSU47 (SLR107u Clone).

I found the sound to be .22lr or a little quieter, I was not impressed witch the performance of the cans on 8.25 host. I did however found on a 16" bbl host they are wonderful at there price point.

I also mounted the .30 cal can to my 47u and tried it a bit better but not what I was looking for.
