Barrel for Sig 226 .40 cal

Post by MarkyMark45 »

Sig 226 .40 cal barrel with OD enough to thread 14.5X1 LH thread. Does anyone know where to get one? I have a EVO. 40 that I want to put on a 226 and have been unable to find a barrel I can use. I have a e-mail back from Storm-Lake barrels and they are developing their .40 cal barrels for 226 and if there is enough interest they are going to make a oversize to thread, just e-mail them to be contacted when they will be available.

It seams that barrels .40 cal ARE hard to find (not to mention 357 SIG).
I have been looking at BarSto (I have a couple of theirs non-threaded).
But price and a 12 week lead time.....
I'll try the elkfiredragon, there more local for me. (Arizona)

I'll try to remember to post my thoughts.

Just ordered a EFK Fire Dragon .40 barrel for my P-226.
60 to 90 day back order. I bought a .40 barrel from them for my P-239 at the first of this month and it was in stock, 12 days wait time.
Fit perfectly and shot great. Ran 125+ rounds through it first and then put my TiRant .45 on and it was great.
Will post after I receive and test one for my 226.

Well I finally received my .40 barrel from EFK and had a chance to run a hundred rounds through it. The barrel needed NO adjustment or fitting that I could see or feel. The POI was different then my stock barrel, but I can adjust the sites.
No feeding or cycling issues. I have not had a chance to put my TiRant can on it but the adapter did fit. (Got the barrel threaded in 13.5LH).
I'm happy so far.... :D
