m92 thread adapter

Post by legend96 »

Hi,

I wondered if anyone would know of a place that sells thread adapter for the yugo m92 which I believe is 26x1.5mm RH to a 14x1mm LH.

Very curious about this as well. I have a yugo m92 kit that I've been meaning to build as a SBR.

I have a .30 cal suppressor (threaded 5/8x24) that I'd like to run on it. Yes, I know it won't be all that quiet but it's still something I want to do. Can you trust the yugo thread job with an adapter and still run a can on it?

I know TROS is good for adapters and such, but that doesn't answer my question of if the yugo threading is good/concentric enough to use for a suppressor.

I know some of the AK's made my other countries have spotty threading on them and it can't always be trusted to be used.

That is a good questions, the threads look good but difficult to know if they are quality threads.

I bought a K-Var adapter for my Yugo.

http://www.k-var.com/shop/product.php?p ... 272&page=1

It allowed my.30 cal Red Jacket can to fit it and my Ak74s'

I did decide to get a Red Jacket PBS can for my Krinkov.

Yup it fit the 14 mm lefty thread on my Yugo,,and allows a 24mm righty to fit your weapon.

I have a can hanging off of it right now.

Lots of sound bouncing off trees and videos don't mean much but here it is shooting.

That doesn't seem right... yugo m92 threads are 24.5.. so an adapter would have to be that thread stepped down to a 5/8x24?
yes sir...

Yea the adapter he posted goes the wrong way. It goes small to large, and it's the wrong pitch as M92 is 26mm. And nobody wants to make an adapter as tolerance stacking would make baffle strikes likely, no matter the quality of the threads. I've given up on putting my SD on my M92. I've since bought an AAC krinkov can to put on a 300BLK AK build......

CNC Warrior sells the same adapters for half the cost.

I just got my adapter (26 LH to 5/8x24) for my M85.
