Robert, when should I submit my paperwork to take it across state lines? Do you have a link to where the paperwork is that I have to fill out?
Thanks
Vic
I thought for inter-state transportation you only needed to notify them in advance by letter, no?
Certainly you are required to check to see what states you are going through to see if it is legal to have the wepaon there. For example, I was leaving Pennsylvania to visit a guy in NJ for lunch. If I had my SBR in the car.... technically it was illegal for me to take it into New Jersey even if it was in a locked container and dismantled.
I think there is some paperwork that has to be filled out in order to take sbr's out of your state. I dont know what the form number is though.
I thought about using a 223 can for this but wanted it to be like the 9mm one so that is the can I opted for. I am going to pick up a SCAR-SD sooner or later for my Spikes sbr so I have a can that will be dedicated for that. I know it isnt good to shoot 22lr through 223 cans but I'll just clean it with the dip occasionally.

Not Robert but here is the form, my examiner told me it should take approx 3-4 weeks. There is also an option to do this by fax I've read, but I'm unfamiliar with that.
Ick, arent you on 22tactical also. I think I saw your gsg on that site also. How does it sound with the 223 can on it, and whose barrel nut are you using?

Yeah. I bought the one off of mygsg5.com. I can't believe how quiet it is with the .223 can. I guess the extra volume.... once the oxygen is depleted.... adds additional benefits for sound suppression. I havn't fired 22lr cans much so I can't compare.
Sorry for the delayed reply to this thread but I havent been on the site in a while. I picked up the grip from Gordon Miller, his number is 888-327-6506.
That was my main reason for buying a GSG-5PK, jsut to SBR it.
I had mine engraved by Keith at NFA Investments. It is right behind the rear claw on the optic mount. You can see it in the second picture.
Pictures are from last summer when i got my stamp back.
With Trident for pic purposes, didnt have my Quest in yet.
