I rarely deer hunt any longer almost all thermal night varmint eradication at this point with 308AR. I'm the last of our group without a can and it's not easy getting unbiased opinions of the guys I hunt with 'mine is the best get this one'.
Sig SRD direct thread
Gemtech not sure model
Radical firearms not sure model
2 each AAC not sure of model
I don't have a fun switch on my AR not do I plan on getting one, but when we get big sounders it's not difficult to empty a 20 round mag. Weight is somewhat important b/c 90% of our shots are offhand, but db's are probably #1. I think I'd just like to hear from some folks other than the guys who own above cans that I know or anonymous reviews on company web sites. Thanks for any input. I like all these suppressors above just unsure which way to run. Thanks in advance
If there was one takeaway I liked about the Sig, if I understood my buddy correctly, it's that the serialized part is at the muzzle so if there was ever a baffle strike and it got torn up they could repair it and not have to go through NFA hell again. Not sure if all are made that way, but seemed like a good idea.

There a bunch of good ones and most any big name maker will leave you giggling. With 308 I'd avoid the compact units, most are designed for 300 blackout or to be just hearing safe.
I have a Saker 7.62, Hybrid, Surge and Razor. Of what I know first hand, I'd recommend the Rugged Surge, good sound, good mount and modular so you can decide how much suppression vs weight works for you.
Most baffle strikes can be repaired, but first concerns should be the warranty and customer service reputation of the company. I would trust Silencerco or Rugged to take good care of me.

It's not a silencer, it's a can of whoopass!
