Post by FFJamison »

Im wondering if anyone knows of a maker and how well it would work on a .22-250 bolt action?

Depends on the barrel length. Most .223 cans are designed to work on a 16" barrel not not be damaged. With a longer barrel you decrease the muzzle pressure.

Your best bet would be with a full auto rated can. No maker is going to warranty their can for a .22-250 as that opens them up for liability. Hope someone can help you better than I can.

I have the AAC 7.62sd on my cz550 varmint. No problems. Sounds about the same as the CZ 527 .223 with the m4-2000.

So it can be done. Its a 22" barrel. So the longer the barrel the lower the muzzle pressure? Those of you that are using "cans" on a 22-250 are they full auto rated?
