Brass wet tumble results

Post by paper9 » Wed Jan 01, 2014 11:23 am

The pictures are both after 4 hour tumble, Dawn soap, Lemishine, SS pins, small Harbor Freight tumbler.

Left in frame is brass that was outdoors in mud, etc. for months.
Right in frame is immediate picked up once fired brass.

Necked rifle brass results are similar, but the inside is not as clean as these pistol cases.

Thanks,

I use the same SS media and Lemi Shine but use a modified cement mixer with a plastic drum.
I have found that if you use more SS media then recommended the brass takes less time and gets polished and cleaned better.
I use 35 lbs SS media in the cement mixer and can clean a 5 gallon bucket of brass in 30 or less minutes. :D
