Using Octane 45 HD and 230 grain round nose jacketed. My blowback is real bad using Power Pistol and Win. 231. Baffles are ALL correctly lined up . Does anyone have a powder suggestion? Would Bullseye have less blowback because it burns fast?

Try a VV powder if you can find one. I switched to N320 in my 9mm and it's much cleaner, much less junk in my face.

So I'm having the same issue with AA #5. I've had a few flame outs as well. (un burned powder igniting in the can).

I'm thinking of trying Titegroup if I can find any.

I've been running 700-X with a 230 grain FMJ and so far the blowback has been very minimum.

What is your charge weight on the WW231? I run that all the time and never really noticed the problem.

Titegroup is my go to for 9 and 45.

In my experience, lighter loads seem dirtier than a more moderate or stout load.

+1 for N320 if it works for 45ACP. I also run it in 9mm and it's mad cleaner than AA7, and a bit cleaner than CFE-P.

N320 runs just fine in 45.

I am using a 231 charge weight of 5.4 gr. The blowback for 700x and bullseye is very minimal but my uniflow with case activation on my piggyback2 clogs, so I have been testing Tightgroup. 4.7 GR. of tight group seems ok, but still has blowback. Has anyone tried VIT. 310, and if so how is blowback? Would I have less blowback if I used lighter bullets?

Bullseye is not the answer. 700x has the least blowback so far and Tightgroup is 2nd best for blowback. Its to bad 700x meters like cornflakes but I will still use it because it has the least blowback from what I have tested so far. I had to add a second spring on the opposite side of my RCBS Uniflow with the new case activation system so that I can use 700x in it smoothly.

Titegroup works pretty well in my 45s with the Osprey and Octane.

I found out that the Redding duel ring carbide sizer for 45 ACP actually helped a lot to reduce blowback. I am going to try the Rugged suppressors pistons because they will work with the octane and don't have the slot cuts for gas to come back at me.
