Be careful -- low-volume ratio loads can detonate. Mangement not responsible for load data. Use at your own risk.

700-X

Post by Gik-Tal »

Right now I load 38 SPL; 357 Magnum; 9mm Luger; 9mm Largo; 40 S&W; 45 ACP and 45 Long Colt as well as the 300 blackout all with 700-X. I also use it for 12 gauge target loads. It seems like a very vestal powder. The only draw back has been that it does not meter very well, but I use a single stage press so that has not been that much of an issue for me.

I've been loading 230gr 45 Auto for my 325 & 625 revolvers with 700x for a little over a year now. Idpa competition, the goal is 700fps. It meters pretty well in my Dillon 550.

I've used 700X in my Dillon 550 also. I load 185-230 gr 45ACP. I haven't had any trouble with load variation at all.

700x is my go to powder for most of my pistol loads. In 9mm, 3.3 grains of 700x with 147grain projectiles is subsonic in both my 16 inch 9mm AR and pistol length barrels.
