JBM has online calculator. Does anyone know if the higher the number is better or is 2-3 the optimal range?
Thanks,

You want a value of 1.5, or higher, when applying the Miller Formula/Twist Rule.

Well, the JBM number is between 2 and 3 for my loads with Red Dot and Trail Boss (647 gr projectile), I am getting some key holes at 50 plus yards. A thin sheet of paper was the target.
I should have known that 647 gr 50 BMG is too large for stable subsonic use.
