I am going to have LRP thread my older 22/45 and I want to ad
a laser rail underneath the barrel and possibly a top scope rail.
I see Tactical Solutions (Pac-Lite) has them for $35 but I cringe at paying $35 for a small section of rail, I'm cheap like that
Can the UTG rails for like $10-15 do the same?.
LRP gave what I consider a good price to thread and ad rails but when you add up the cost to thread barrel and install rails, the cost of the rails themselves, and then to overnight it to LRP you end up at ~$250 so it makes me wonder if it would be more cost effective to just buy a factory Ruger.
Where to get picatinny rail sections to ad to a 22/45
Re: Where to get picatinny rail sections to ad to a 22/45
Just buy the new Ruger and have two guns
How much to just thread it, forget all the other stuff?

LRP was $55 + 15 to ship back

fwiw, you dont have to ship a handgun overnight anymore.
Re: Where to get picatinny rail sections to ad to a 22/45
Where did that info come from? Everything I have read says that FedEx and UPS policies require overnight for handguns and that ATF requires you to tell them. So once they know then your stuck paying higher shipping costs.srt-4_uk wrote:fwiw, you dont have to ship a handgun overnight anymore.
Can you point me to what is new?
Thanks

It has been that way for at least over a year. Bud's shipped 2nd day air when I got my 22/45. Google handgun 2nd day air.

Already did the goggle and checked UPS and FEDEX written policies and all say handguns overnight.
Buds is an FFL and as such he could use the USPS to ship handguns.
