This book is pretty cool if you have not read it. It's a novel about the colaplse of society in America and how to prepare. Very thought prevoking. Cool gun play as well. Well worth it if you can find a copy. I was wondering if anyone else has read it.

I got to the part where they make that alliance with the neighboring group and move in on the small town taken over by the bikers then put it down. I'll have to pick it up again to see how it ends.

You've seen his blog? Good stuff.

Please, somebody, tell, me, why, he, puts, a, comma, in, his, name!
Even one of the characters in the book does it.

I just finished this book about a week ago, In the end I found it entertaining. However to me it seemed a bit difficult to read as compared to some of my favorite authors books. One thing I did take away from the book is that I don't have enough ammo or gasoline. :)

Just a silly affectation. Kind of like an online screen name.

As far as the comma thing, I tend to see it with the folks who don't believe that the .gov has any authority over them...taxes, drivers license, that sorta thing.....
They tend to put comma's in their name, colons, that sort of thing...

I have not read the book, I have not read any reviews of the book, but those of you that have, am I on point, or way the fcuk off???

Funny. I was just told this weekend at a night PR match that I should read this book. Wonder if I can find it at Borders...

Mad Max movie series.
Amerika TV mini series.
The Omega Man
It is what is called “target marketing.”
Find out what a group of people fantasize about, and then write a story where they can put themselves in the heroes position.
Writers have been making a good living at it since Plato.
Wandering storytellers before him.
Tom Clancy became a multi-millionaire doing the same thing for a slightly different market.

I've read it two or three times in the last 10 years or so. I read it the first time before Y2k. It influenced some of my equipment purchases. It's not an inconceivable scenario. Given the current state of the economy, reading it will surely give one pause for thought. Finding like minded, equally prepared people, that you can trust, is the key problem in my opinion.
