AN ACT CONCERNING RESTRICTIONS ON GUN USE.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to establish a class C felony offense, except for certain military and law enforcement personnel and certain gun clubs, for (1) any person or organization to purchase, sell, donate, transport, possess or use any gun except one made to fire a single round, (2) any person to fire a gun containing more than a single round, (3) any person or organization to receive from another state, territory or country a gun made to fire multiple rounds, or (4) any person or organization to purchase, sell, donate or possess a magazine or clip capable of holding more than one round.

Statement of Purpose:

To reduce the use of guns for criminal purposes.

The wording on that thing just plain sucks.

"a gun made to fire multiple rounds" ... does that mean it's supposed to self destruct after firing one round? Or does it mean it can only fire one round per trigger pull?

This gun only fires one round, it does not fire more than one round per trigger pull, does this gun "contain" more than one round? The belt is clearly outside the gun.

Of course all that would mean IF it was ever to become law is every law abiding citizen would have one shot to defend there family/ home with while every criminal would still have the same capacity they have in there "illegal" guns now. Most home owners woudl now have a row of several handguns all with one shot ready to go as they did in every old western. I am out gimme another!!!

A couple of solutions come to mind. New York reload and a "round" that can fire more than one projectile at different times.
