Do you have a cite for this figure?
BATF publishes annual stats on categories of NFA firearms. it's more like 500k registered, so the question is how many people more than 1...2...3... etc

Did Joshua Prince point out an interesting conundrum in the law/regulations? Sure he did. Will ATF accept his argument and approve a Form 1 for a new machine gun? I doubt it. Will a court accept his argument and order ATF to approve a Form 1 for a new machine gun? I also doubt it.
Well apparently the ATF has approved a few Form 1 post 86 MG's for trusts. The earliest stamps were received in August with others in early September.

AND they have all been folowed up with a phonecall cancelling them, majority are prior to the F1 filer even getting the Form back in the mail.

True but it does form the basis for a lawsuit to challenge the ATF on. I know you posted that you have seen at least 6 lawsuit attempts in the past 10 years but if we quit fighting them then they automatically win.

I would like to know how many people own Suppressors only because they were forced to get a Trust because their CLEO refused to sign off.

Not quite. I would venture around 40-50% max.

First case has been filed http://www.scribd.com/doc/245057730/Hol ... -Complaint

It's my understanding that at least two more separate cases will be filed.

Update complaint #1: ENTRY OF APPEARANCE by another attorney in Texas, the new attorney just so happens to be Plaintiffs brother.
http://www.scribd.com/doc/246272471/7-E ... Appearance

Complaint #2: Plaintiff received an approved Form 1 and built a MG. Plaintiff happens to be an attorney. #2 is filed in PA by a different attorney than #1. This is an excellent read http://www.scribd.com/doc/246633381/Wat ... lder-et-al

Which district and state will Complaint #3 be filed in?

Hollis vs Holder, Watson vs Holder, and ??? vs Holder are available once filed at this link http://www.sdslaw.us/#!nfa-cases/c1xu9

That covers the 3rd Circuit and the 5th Circuit, 9 more to go.

Just curious but what happens when Holder leaves office shortly? Does the buck get passed to the next AG or is he still required to show up?

Any AG has a moral/ethical obligation to represent the "state's interest". You can of course argue that the "state's interest" is a moral aberration to begin with, as such the AG should not defend it. But, according to the law and the lawyers code, they have an obligation to represent to the best of their ability their client, or in this case employer.
