Problems uploading documents on Efile Form 1

Post by liberty or death »

Im having a problem uploading my Trust for an Efile Form 1. The original PDF was 1.76MB and when i clicked the add button, the page refreshed but no document had populated in the documents section so i had it shrunk down to 870KB and tried again to no avail. Anybody have any suggestions? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

Try uploading a MS Word document. It can contain nothing, a word, a sentence, or anything and then try uploading your trust again. Once your trust uploads, simply delete the Word document. I have seen this "fix" work for several people...

What browser are you using? Many .gov sites are browser dependent to some degree.

You trying to add it to the line on the firearms section or after you click Finish on that and then add it to the Electronic Documents section?

I was trying the first, it kept failing. Worked fine on the E docs part though.

Thanks for the tips. I actually did try uploading it in the first step and to no avail and then tried to the second step. I am using internet explorer. I have not yet tried the blank word doc yet tho so I will give that a shot next but man is that site a pain in the @#$. Like anything else govt related it never works the way it should.

I had issues using IE. Ended up using Chrome and it worked like gangbusters.
