Any major changes to the NFA laws?

Post by slackercruster »

I've been very busy and been away from the forum. Last time I was here they were talking about proposed new laws like getting trustees fingerprinted and checked out.

Has anything been done as yet? Or Is my 3 year old trust still good?

Still good, pushed back to at least May 2015.

Wait times are down too of course. Form 1s somewhere in the vicinity of 30 days (Eform). My last form 4 I got back a week ago or so was 4 months door to door (paper).

Wow! That is something. My last one took 11 months just for my papers.

FYI, just got my latest form 1 e-approval. Submitted 11/06, approved 12/12. So just a shade over 30 days right now. Beats the s--t out of 4 months though

I had a local NFA dealer tell me that the fingerprints/CLEO trust requirement is virtually dead, because they are aware of the legal implicationsand know it wouldn't win in court. Is this not true, LGS wishful thinking, or LGS B.S.?
