Senate Firmly Red ... Mitch, Please Pass HPA!

Post by Historian »

Nothing is holding up the passage of HPA now
if our great Senate Leader will, with quiet, Southern
elegance, bring up HPA and pass it ... Please!

Drive a DemonRat crazy. :) :)

I hold on to little hope for the passage of HPA but I still have hope.

The GOP sees the inevitable wave of estrogen creeping over the nation and they will be doing everything they can to hold on to the seats they have.

McConnell announced today that he will push for funding the border wall before the end of the year (and perhaps other issues left hanging like HPA, although that seems like a longshot) before the Dems take over the House in January.

They have to pass a DHS funding Bill as must pass issue before the end of the year, and could attach other issues to it.
You can fool all of the people some of the time, and some of the people all of the time...and those are pretty good odds.

I'm not displeased with the results of yesterday but was hoping for a super-majority to make things easy.I have little doubt that gov shutdowns and other unnecessary political grandstanding will ensue.I wish the HPA was pushed to the forefront but the wall and the elimination of anchor babies is very important to our future as a nation.
The only reason after 243 years the government now wants to disarm you is they intend to do something you would shoot them for!

I tend to share the sentiment that there are a few things more important that HPA.

At least we were able to establish a moderately conservative beachhead in SCOTUS before the beginning of the implosion.
