Do it yourself trust?

Post by strom19 »

Can an individual create a trust or is it wise to have a lawyer do it for you? Are forms available and where can I obtain them? Any information would be appreciated.. Thanks!

An individual can create a trust. You will get arguments both ways as to whether you need an atty or not. The most popular method for creating your own trust is via software like Quicken WillMaker. The 2009 and earlier versions allow you to create the trust and maintain it on your computer, 2010 and later changed to an online method and is less preferred.
I created my trust in approx 1/2 hour, then had it notarized at the local bank.

Yes and it depends on who you ask. Yes and Quicken WillMaker is one source.

Or you could actually try a search.

Thanks for that info. I spoke to a lawyer locally here in central Florida who is into class 3,
that stated for $350.00 he would create a trust for me but I thought I could save that money and apply it toward another toy down the road. What do you suggest is best way to go:?

Just do it yourself and don't let the guntrustlawyer guy scare you into paying him to do the exact same thing you can do yourself for $35.

I got a blank Word trust form for a gun store that sells alot of supressors. I had it done in about 2 hours with witnesses and to the bank I went. I am pending on my form 4 so no problems yet.

If anyone want a copy PM me your e-mail address and I will get it to you.
