Trying to Gauge Interest in FAL adapter for suppressor...

Post by Artful »

How many would be interested in a Thread adapter
to replace your existing FAL Muzzle device so that you could thread on a suppressor?

inside threaded 9/16 x 24 L standard Metric threading

Outside can be threaded
A) 1/2 x 28 R or B) 5/8 x 24 R

Tolerances will be for suppressor use. You would need to ensure your barrel is threaded accurately enough for suppressor use. I.e. turned and threaded on centers if out of spec.

The reason for adapting to 1/2x28 is due to the vast number of 1/2x28 thread mounted suppressors available for .223 calilber, 9mm and 30 caliber.
As a side note the YHM Phantom .223 QD suppressor mount (1/2x28) will also work on their .30 cal suppressors. The adapter may then be used for .223-308 cal as long as the suppressor is compatible with that 308 caliber. http://www.yankeehillmachine.com/store/muzzle.html
these can supply these at a discount as needed if you have YHM cans you want to move around.

I already ordered and received from same company an adapter
from HK 15x1mm to use my 5/8x24R can with and it's a nice piece of work.
CNC machined, Stainless steel, Moly coated

Unfinished 5/8x24, 9/16x24R adapters next to the 1/2x28 prototype suppressor adapter. The adapters will be slightly longer then the 1/2x28 prototype pictured and have a wider wrench flat.

Normal pricing
One each unit is 85.00 shipped USPS Priority mail with delivery confirmation.
looking to get a dozen ordered so we can get price break at $75 each...

Post below to let me know your interst.

Ok, thanks for posting - spread the word to anyone else you think might be interested as I'm trying to get a large enough group to get the lower price.

I know that this is old, but did you make any of these adapters 9/16x24L to 1/2x28? I will be needing one for a FNC.

I'll follow up by asking do you do requests for other applications?

Just came across this thread and I am looking for an adapter for my FNC to mount a suppressor. Are any of these still available? I prefer 9/16"L (I think that is std FNC) to the 1/2-28. Thanks.
