Sig 516 short stroking with Liberty suppressor

Post by MrSpooky »

My Sig 516 seems to be short stroking with my Liberty Suppressor. I have been using 55gr 5.56 Fed xm193 and PMC x-tac. The round only goes about half way into the chamber and then the feed ramps dig into the casing and the round bends. The bolt seems to be grabbing the round from the middle and not the base. This is the rifle short stroking correct? The bolt also does not lock back after the last round. I have the rifle on the suppressor setting. Any ideas on how to fix this?

I have tried 30rd Pmags, 20rd Pmags, and 30rd USGI colt mags and they all FTF.
I shot 20 rounds of 62 gr 5.56 and 20 rounds of 77gr SSA and it fed fine, but I have a lot of 55gr XM193 stocked up and would love to use that.

The rounds looked like these. (not my pics but look the exact same)

Thanks for any help,
Mike
