Suppressed Airsoft

Post by kogashuko »

I know the deal with the ruling the ATF put out about airgun suppressors. Well my problem is that there has been many airsoft guns imported which are clones of the MP5SD and they have BAFFELS IN THEM. All of them. According to the ATF airgun suppressors are illegal as hell but look at all the Airsoft SDs out there.

Can it reduce the sound pressure of a firearm 1 decibel?

Just because something is completely legal to buy or own, doesn't mean the ATF can't drag you into court.

The ATF cannot regulate airguns, period. They might threaten court action, and get someone who is not rich to agree to a plea. But if they take the wrong person to court they risk setting a precedent they don't want set. Is the MP5SD replica a removable can or built in? If it is removable and thread-on, they could argue that it could be used on a firearm. If it is built in, I would not worry about it.

Does it really have "baffles"? The airsoft cans I have seen (I have 4 different airsoft cans) all use foam circular tubes/discs with the center cut out.
