Has anyone been extremely lucky enough to win his lottery
for the privilege for him to build you a gun?
Just checking since I've never been.
Quackenbush Air Rifles
Re: Quackenbush Air Rifles
I didn't know there was a lottery, thanks for telling me I'm entering.
Those things are awesome.

Very nice guns and guy . His shop is only few hours away from me. They live up to the hype.

Re: Quackenbush Air Rifles
Saw this and had to comment...
I have one of the .30 cals, the Exile. It's the nicest thing own, and I own an Anschutz. Very well made indeed. I'd go so far as to say that Dennis' work is the pinnacle of pneumatic weaponry. Nothing else has anything on his guns, even the folks charging more.
I'd like to quiet it down, but nothing has worked very well thus far. It's already a big gun, so by the time it got a big can on it, would be unwieldy.
For now, I've switched to lighter (115gr) bullets and that makes it qietER that is was with heavier ones.
If you are willing to put up with the foibles of a magnum PCP, try to get one of Dennis' guns. You will not regret it.
FWIW, I get five good shots per fill (the gun is very new, less than 100 shots) and it takes 160 pumps on my Axxsor pump to refill it. Good work out...

I have not had any luck and finally quit trying. They say they are great but can't make enough of them.
Re: Quackenbush Air Rifles
I also got tired of waiting . If you look around on the classified sections of the air gun forums you can find used ones once in a while . I got tired of that also and posted a "wat to buy " ad and had a .457 LA Outlaw in a week .http://www.network54.com/Forum/79574/thread/1281473859 I have the one at the bottom of the page .
Re: Quackenbush Air Rifles
Does not look like I will live long enough to get one...

I have a 50 cal .
I was going to get the 308 and when talking to Mr Quackenbush about hunting in Missouri. He said 308 would not meet requirements .

Re: Quackenbush Air Rifles
I actually have a Quackenbush .457 if someone is interested. I'm no longer able to hunt deer here in my state due to game and fish changing the rules and not allowing deer hunting anymore. I really enjoyed hunting with air and subsonic. My ears are not happy with the change.
I built a 300 blackout and put in a form1 to build a supressor and how I ended up here seeing a airgun link.
