People get all but hurt over price.

I say vote with your feet or wallet. No one is making you buy it and it's not may fault you can't afford it. The only time I get pissed at sale ads is when it's a post -MG for like a 1K. That's simply bc the law is bullshit.

But anything else I agree with you.

Man, I LOVE that poster! I'd like a copy of it to hang in the shop.

I think the tech support ladies at work would like that poster. I'll have to run it by the boss.

I like the poster, but after reading the linked thread, I'm inclined to agree with EricCartmann. I mean, are we members of some juvenile frat where every newbie has to get burned on the price of a gun related item before someone steps forward and tells them they are paying way over what they should? Not informing the ignorant as to price is part of why we have the current prices on guns and ammo.

I don't tell people in gun shops that prices are crazy high (its their business), but I'll do it at a gun show (if I can get them away for a second), and I'm considering it on gun forums now.

The best poster for computer tech support people to hang up in their call center came from the '80s anti drug campaign. I can't find an image of the poster, but I think you'll get the idea:

I'd argue the 'tech support' people are too since most read the computer; a notch higher than a chimp?

I've had a thread started over an item I listed. Mostly it was unknowledgeable comments, with one being lack of experience with NP3, being made by supposed "pros" (I did not post anything, just read). borderline libel it seemed.

The ironic thing is that the company I work for provides inmate telephone service. So the calls they take are from the inmates and their families.

I got banned from a site cause I couldnt keep my mouth shut in for sale threads.

One guy had pictures so blurry you couldnt even see what it was he was selling ...... so I said Holy Blurry pictures batman.

One guy had stains on his carpoet where he had dogs piss all over the place ..... I asked him if he was going to use the money from the sale of the guns to clean the carpet.

BUT the one that really took the cake ...... NIB Glock 26 with digital camo, very rare you wont find one like this. I told him it was so rare that Glock didnt even make it and even if the pistol had never been fired that it was no where near new cause it had been duracoated digital camo. Plus the asshat wanted like 750 for it ..... I was like your on crack, its been painted and no where near new like you are claiming. I told him I would buy it for his asking price if he could show me where Glock sold a digital camo duracoated 26 ..... never heard back from the guy.

Meh. The man runs this site free of charge and with no annoying ads. While I disagree with profiteering due to the gun/ammo crisis who am I to tell him how much money he should make on the sale? I gladly paid the "Goon Squad" donation and I'd do it again if he asked for it because this site is an important repository of freely exchanged information (unlike some other sites with highly moderated opinions).

yeah, I didn't say I didn't know who it was ...

The truth is, I'm a "whatever the market will bear" kind of guy. If you can sell your beat up old Raven .25 for $500 more power to you. And if you can get a $1.50/round for some old ammo you have laying around congrats.

On the flip side, if you happen to sell me your mint X-Five for $250 I'll be glad to take it off your hands.

There's a company here in FL trying to see 380 ammo for a dollar per round !

Someone on GT was selling a 50 round box of .380 for $58 - I wouldn't buy it, but if someone had an empty gun they might.

I listed 50 round boxes of Gold Dot 357 Sig for $30 a box and someone posted they hope I literally choke on it due to the outrageous price. Within two days I sold 135 boxes of it to a gun store.

I hope you choke on the bankroll (all the way to the bank).

I agree that gouging sucks. That said it doesn't hurt to call and talk to some of these guy's. I called jerry at recon Ordnance looking for a Colt two position stock and he didn't have one at any price. He said he had a Colt M4 stock he could sell me for $75 bucks plus shipping. It came with a buffer spring and a H2 buffer. A $263 value if Ihad gone to SAW.

OOOO, someone is pissed that they didn't have the foresight to stock up beforehand.
