5.56 Thread spec- minimum barrel diameter 0.563?

I'm looking at the 2013 AAC thread specsheet and 0.563" is listed as the minimum shoulder diameter. I just want to confirm that this information is correct and considered safe.

.600 minimum barrel OD is what most of the thread charts I have saved show for 1/2x28.

Have a look in this one. The minimum shoulder diameter I mentioned is in the first 5.56 1/2x28 diagram.

That(.563 min OD) is specifically for the direct thread Ranger silencer, the next one down is for muzzle devices. Are you attaching a FH/brake, or a direct thread silencer?

I'd like to know for both quick attach adapter and direct thread. I want to learn more about the subject in its entirety, including the "why."

RJT, Thank you very much for noticing my post and for your answers. I'm going to repost in the general forum as AAC has not seen fit to directly respond to a question about their document and I'd like to both clarify my question and give the final answers better exposure.

I did not see a reason to respond, as the question was answered. I honestly don't know what more of an answer that you want. Our ranger silencer was designed for that thread diagram, and the mounts need more of a shoulder than that. I am not an engineer, but I would imagine it is because of the torque applied to the mounts vs direct thread is much more.
