Will my M4-1k fit on an 18T 5/8x24 762SD brake?

Post by Chuck Finley »

I'd like a brake for my Remington 700 .223 as opposed to the 3 prong blackout for use with my m4-1k. Will the m4-1k fit on the 762SD 18T brake?

I imagine I'll be picking up a .30 cal bolt gun eventually, and I doubt I'll ever live long enough to see a .223 18T brake, hence the desire for the 762sd brake.

So, will it work?

Yes.

And if you live through this year, you will most likely see the 18T stuff show up. ;)

Thanks Jason! I'll probably pick up a 762SD brake to hold me over. I might grab a 762SD this year anyways!

Another question, will the 7.62 size break affect accuracy on a .223 bolt rifle?

Simple answer, nope. The fact that the bullet will be further from the bore of the break will only lessen the chance of accuracy being affected.
