Can you use a 762 SD on an ak since most of the bullets are actually .311 ? Assuming concentricity of barrel/ threads etc of course.

What I wouldn't give for them to produce a QD mount for a Chinese preban Norinco.

Just beware of some of the surplus ammo out there.
I would not shoot corrosive ammo through any of my silencers.....
Shoot softly, and carry a big clip.

I've seen several of 22my customers put them on AKs, most of them have the barrel re-threaded to 1/2x28 and use the AAC flash hiders that are bored out to 30 Cal.

Why not? I remember seeing an AAC Rep state that you could shoot corrosive ammo and not clean it, and it would be fine. Something about the coating and Stainless Steel supposed to withstand corrosion and specifically made for use in maritime operations.

Anyway, I shoot Yugo Surplus through my Piston AR all the time. I just flush it out with the garden hose (or bottled water if no water source is available), shake it out and shoot some non corrosive rounds through it after. As far as I can tell, it is not rusting away.
