762 SDN 6
Just got my SDN 6 F4 after 5 months, and brought the new addition home. Really amazed at how small this can is. I have a SPR/M4 and Cyclone. This one is much smaller. Balances well on the 12.5" upper. Will be going to the range later today. Nice product AAC.

Very nice. How's the lock up? I'm slightly concerned reading multiple posts concerning wobble. I'm not worried about baffle strikes...I haven't seen much along the lines of movement excessive enough to do that, but for my Sako TRG I'd like for it to lock up as tight as possible so it does not degrade accuracy.

Re: 762 SDN 6
varies by muzzle device. On my .223 SBR, it's very very close to locking to the next tooth, but not quite there, which means about maximum wobble, and the movement isn't excessive enough to cause any issue I don't think.
I haven't done any honest POI tests at all yet, but it seems reasonably accurate; was plinking rocks at 100yds with the 300blk with eotech.

Re: 762 SDN 6
TMBG how did you u get it on the pistol, is that an AAC adapter or some aftermarket adapter
Re: 762 SDN 6
it's a standard .223 mount, 1/2-28. The pistol is a sig mosquito .22, and it's got a 1/2-28 suppressor adapter.
I put it on there temporarily before I rocksett'd the mount onto my .223 SBR. Shot a couple of rounds through the can with the .22 pistol; it's actually quieter than some dedicated .22 cans

Re: 762 SDN 6
Gun ran flawlessly, 12.5" AAC upper and 762 SDN6 suppressor. I had three types of ammo at the range. Remington Sub 220gr, Gunn 130gr, and Atlantic Arms "Pink Tip" 125gr.
The Gunn ammo printed three rnds in a vertical .7 inch group none touching
The Atlantic Arms printed three rnds in a .4 inch clover leaf (tightest groups)
The Remington Sub printed two in one hole then throw a .5 inch flyer low
Each individual ammo demonstrated the same groups repeatedly. Rifle rest used. Rifle was shot suppressed only with the 7.62 SDN6. Bolt locked back on empty mags. Used a Pistol buffer.
The super sonic ammo suppressed pretty well. With the first shot being slightly louder than the follow on shots. I will have to shoot it against my SPR/M4 with 556 (next range trip".
The Sub sonic has the giggle factor. It is stupid quit. Well beyond Hollywood IMO . Sub Sonic had a little more recoil, kind of a soft push (220gr)compared to the super sonic ammunition (125-130gr).
Suppressor lockup was fine I would screw it all the way on and back it up one and the can was tight, no wobble.
Should have sold tickets, whole lot of interest at the range from other shooters and a couple of distributors who were there , allowed several others to shoot the rifle. All positive feedback from the other shooters. Now need to reload some of this brass.
Re: 762 SDN 6
Nice. I look forward to getting in on this 300 AAC action, only I'm going with the shorter upper. Thanks for the feedback on the N6 and upper.

I have the 762SD on my 8" 300BLK with Noveske barrel. Ignorant quiet with subsonic hunting loads. Dropped a doe Sunday at 110-115yd....Hollywood quiet shot and sickening thud into the doe.
Bought a 762SD-N6 Saturday and sent paperwork in yesterday. More goodness on the way!

What bullet are you using in your subsonic hunting load? If you don't mind my asking?eazenutz33 wrote:Ignorant quiet with subsonic hunting loads. Dropped a doe Sunday at 110-115yd....Hollywood quiet shot and sickening thud into the doe.

220gr Outlaw State Bullets. It looks like a prescoured, round nose, with the end of the round nose flattened into a shallow hollow point or recessed wadcutter. I was thoroughly impressed.wildfowler wrote:What bullet are you using in your subsonic hunting load? If you don't mind my asking?eazenutz33 wrote:Ignorant quiet with subsonic hunting loads.
