Yikes. That can't be good.
Re: What????
Definitely a rainy day in the class III world. Can't wait to see what Kevin does next, cause I'm sure it will be great.

Re: What????
I wouldn't expect anyone from AAC to respond.
Good luck on your future endeavors Kevin.
Exactly, this won't be the last we hear of Kevin, but I hope the good folks left at AAC keep it going with his spiritbeye wrote:Definitely a rainy day in the class III world. Can't wait to see what Kevin does next, cause I'm sure it will be great.

Re: What????
Hmmm. Freedom Group / Cerberus Tin-foil hat type articles are going to go into full effect with this news.
Kevin will do fine. He's proven his abilities and worth. His next great adventure may not be in the firearms industry, but it will be successful no matter where his interests take him.

Re: What????
Goodbye AAC... you were great while it lasted!
Kevin will be "fine". Money-wise, he probably never has to work again. Spirit-wise, I'm sure he wants to continue (based on very little I know about him). I would assume Kevin has a non-compete for some time too...
FYI, Silencerco put out a really nice "we love you Kevin" type statement today. I read it as them saying "come talk to us!" while also getting in a small jab at Freedom Corp.

Re: What????
Sad s--t, I wonder who the mike guy was that commented to that article.
Re: What????
This is a common transition in the business world. That said, freedom group isn't our friend and will probably not be beating te drum to keep suppressors in the hands of civilians. Thank god they don't own silencerco. I hope Kevin pulls a Windham Weaponry on Freedom group the way Bushmaster's executives did.

Re: What????
I kind of feel the same way. We will see what the QC will be like. Hopefully know one else will be ousted, but I don't think that will be the way of it. Something I have herd was Remington used to make guns, now they make money... I have an ~80 year old Remington Model 14 that has better fit and finish than todays guns. I hope i am wrong.66427vette wrote:They just lost most if not all of my future business. I got aced out of a job years ago due to a buy out. Hello swr/ silencerco.

Re: What????
Getting "escorted out by security" is not an uncommon thing at all at that level of the business world. It shouldn't be taken as an indicator of Kevin's integrity or Freedom Group's perception of him as a person. It is just business as usual. No matter how high up the food chain you never know how someone will react to being let go, and the higher up you are the more potential damage you can do on the way out, from wiping hard drives to "stealing" proprietary information. If they decided to fire a welder there's little that person can do to damage the company on the way out the door and he'd probably be allowed time to gather his tools, family photos, etc. At the CEO level, the potential for damage to the company is much higher and so the need to minimize potential damage/exposure time is higher.

Re: What????
These are nice to me for finish and are $1100, which was $69 in 1932 (80 years ago). That rifle you said was nice from 80 years ago was probably - bingo - $69, not $30. So the real problem is not using an equal cost rifle adjusted for inflation as the basis of comparison. Today you can buy a rifle every bit as nice as the ones from the 1930s, but not in the base model. But people want it that way - that is to make the rifles affordable in a way they never were in the 1930s.J Krammes wrote:I have an ~80 year old Remington Model 14 that has better fit and finish than todays guns.

That is a very nice rifle. I am saying years ago "quality" was standard. Today it is custom. We have better technology and zero attention to detail today. That does not make sense. Big companies get rid of people who don't conform and think out side of the box. They kill innovation. To come out with something new you have to take risks and that might not pay off. Corporations exist only to make money. As long as someone can convince the public to buy the product even as quality slips, know one at the top cares. Don't get me wrong, I do like Rem products. One plus, we most likely will never see a new suppressor mount, because the 51T is good enough. Like I said before I hope I am wrong.

How do they consider 1:12 "tactical"? I consider it a "strategic mistake".silencertalk wrote:

I was wondering how his particular brand of individuality would sit with those assholes. No room for outlandish innovators in the corporate world, ala Steve Jobs & Apple part 1.

You know what's funny? When I took that photo the letters were completely Kevin's idea, he just happened to have them sitting in his office for some reason.700PSS wrote:Forever classic.
