I'm scheming my way into one of these rifles. I don't currently have a 556 silencer, but plan to get one. Does AAC have any plans to make a blackout/brakeout mount with enough meat on the backside as to push it forward far enough to clear the rail the way Surefire has done with their FH556-212A mount?
Anyone have a custom one made? Maybe with a Battlecomp as the brake part?
Thanks!

Know 3 guys with the same rifle and Model 07 & 08 M4-2000's using blackout and breakout mounts. No issue. It is close, but it clears the rail.

You sure they do not have the Noveske 10.5 mk 18 ? Are they running a shim to space it out ? Strange never seen a 10.3 with a DD MK18 rail work.GBI96 wrote:Know 3 guys with the same rifle and Model 07 & 08 M4-2000's using blackout and breakout mounts. No issue. It is close, but it clears the rail.

Nope they are DD's. The factory is here in Georgia and we as LE here do a lot of business with them. Our agency just bought right at 50 Mk18's and several guys had already bought their own Mk18's from DD. I have personally shot my boss' which had a breakout and a 07 M42000.
Don't buy based on me though, call AAC and they can confirm.

I was told by aac and DD and tried myself and they bottomed out. Wonder If they shimmed them out or threw 10.5 inch barrels in there.

I will ask to make sure on the barrel lengths and if shims were used. My supervisor is out of the loop today, but I will inquire early next week.

I talked to someone a while back and seems like they told me they used shims on their setup.

Are you using shims behind the brakeout?

I will post pics later.
The new blackout fh that has a little extra meat in the back will clear just fine. The brake or the older blackout fh will not. I used a spacer only to time it correctly.

I keep forgetting it so I'll leave it here for others as well: NFA 304-616-4500

Shitty phone pics but you get the idea. Last pic shows the different mounts.
