Life expectancy of a 762-sdn-6?
How many rounds of 300, fired semi-auto with very little "rapid fire" but used in a typical training environment, would you expect this can to last? How many rounds before the effective noise reduction was diminished?

I have no answer, but I'm not familiar with this 300 round you speak of... Obviously I'm assuming you mean 110gr 300WSM Subsonic Tracer right? Assuming that's what you meant, your answer is "about a billion rounds".
Perhaps you mean 300blk supersonic?

Re: Life expectancy of a 762-sdn-6?
300 blk, 300 AAC, 300 Whisper, whatever you'd like to call it today.
Does supersonic vs. subsonic change the life expectency?

Seeing as 300 AAC isn't a thing, and 300 Whisper has no specification it's really impossible for anyone to know the pressure or potential of that round. I believe it's just "300blk" you're looking for.rob_s wrote:300 blk, 300 AAC, 300 Whisper, whatever you'd like to call it today.

Yea I don't know! Seeing as they seem to generate the same pressure between supersonic and subsonic for the action to cycle the same, I could see a situation where it doesn't matter as far as pressure goes and they create equal wear. But that's just a guess on my part. Wait for the Mers to get here I guess.

Oh stop being so pedantic!Seeing as 300 AAC isn't a thing, and 300 Whisper has no specification it's really impossible for anyone to know the pressure or potential of that round. I believe it's just "300blk" you're looking for.

Well crafted forum posts get answers. Just doing it for the greater good. I like rob_s, I use his charts now and then, but when asking questions it's important to provide all the details needed to answer it.Ctaylor wrote:Oh stop being so pedantic!Seeing as 300 AAC isn't a thing, and 300 Whisper has no specification it's really impossible for anyone to know the pressure or potential of that round. The point of language is to communicate. You knew, and know, what I meant from the beginning.
Now that we've established, for those that read slow, what I'm talking about if anyone has any actual information to add to the thread that would be good.

Good question Rob, it'll be interesting to see what we can find.
