.17hmr subsonic ammo

Is subsonic .17hmr ammo manufactured and available to the everyday shooter?

I haven't seen any. At speeds<1050fps, 22lr will be more effective. A 17HMR uses a 17gr or 20gr bullet. A 22lr uses ~40gr bullet. 17gr bullet at 1050=42ft/lb energy. 40gr bullet at 1050=98ft/lb energy.

Given the caliber, mass, and velocity... you're literally describing a pellet-gun.
