For those with your ear to the KAC ground, any thoughts on when the 16" Mod2s will come around?

According to KAC they are on schedule to ship in May. I guess they have a few days left......

Should be rolling through within the next few weeks.

I picked mine up today. This is my first SR15 (have a 25 ER). Just looking at it - pretty good. Really nice trigger (far better than my 25). Keymod is a little different. Part of me says sell this ASAP for a few dollars more and find a new Mod1 upper and call it good. I have an LPR upper showing up next week so I guess I can see what I think about Mod 1 v Mod 2 at that time.

I have a URX 4 handguard and a Mod 1 upper (minus barrel)

I like the URX 3.1 a bit better because it's slimmer. However, If I had a Mod 2, I would not trade it for a Mod 1. The new gas system and other enhancements are worth it IMHO. Plus, if you just get a Mod 1 upper, you won't have all the KAC lower stuff (ambi).

A Mod 1 upper just hit M4Carbine.net the other day for $1250 and sold quickly. So, they do show up. I bought my Mod 1 upper (less barrel and bolt) for $400.

Boltcarrier.com has a few 16" mod 1 uppers for sale now (new) for $1425.
