Are these cans still available? I have an early SR-25. I bought it straight from Knights back in like '92 or so. I was told is was an overrun rifle from the original submission of the Mk11 Mod0. It is a KMC gun marked SR-25. It is not Mk11 Mod0 marked. It does have the full length free float quad rail, the 20" Obermyer barrel and came in the custom Pelican case with all the bells and whistles (except the supressor - what was I thinking? I could have gotten matching SN back then). It has the Mk11 Mod0 gas block. I have some paperwork from Knights re: it's pedigree as an original military format gun (as opposed to something cobbled together later). It shoots well under 1MOA and I would really like a supressors for it.
So, is the can still available? What about fitting it to my rifle? I've heard that there is some fitting involved which I do not understand.
Thanks,
Baxter

Re: Mk11 Mod0 Supressors
They want $2,000 for one. I thought they sold for more like $1,400. At that price, I think I will test my skills at manufacturing my own. There is a great build thread for one in the silencersmithing forum. The only "problem" is that I do not have a threaded barrel. I have the Mk11 Mod0 barrel and gas block for attachment. I think I can fabricate an attachment for it. I'm just not sure how the original can seals since there are no threads. Is it just a close fit along the several inches of barrel and then a close fit on the gas block? Is there an oring at the gas block attachment? Anyway, I have a form 1 pending now so I will have some time to think this one through. I will move the balance of my questions to the build forum.
Thanks,

Re: Mk11 Mod0 Supressors
They are still in production, but only made once a year or so.
Any KAC dealer can order one, just have to wait for production schedule.

Re: Mk11 Mod0 Supressors
That's the M110 which, I think, is not the same as the Mk11 version. Regardless, I have an approved form 1 in hand and am endeavoring to make my own!

You make it sound like someone had a problem or two with them in the past. Do tell...66427vette wrote:Good luck with them.Tanner wrote:found one here too http://www.knesekguns.com/commercial/KA ... ssor-24611

They're not exactly modern technology, light or reasonably priced.lawmens wrote:You make it sound like someone had a problem or two with them in the past. Do tell...66427vette wrote:Good luck with them.Tanner wrote:found one here too http://www.knesekguns.com/commercial/KA ... ssor-24611
Unless you're doing a clone rifle, there are much better options and readily available.
