Unfortunately, i could not make it to SS2010, thanks to SMGLee he took the below photo as posted in m4carbine. (http://www.mcarbine.net)

So what is the story here with this weapon?

At first thought (not to be taken as criticism) I have thought (maybe others?) that at some point in the future your round would make it to market. Quite possible it would be in an Upper/Mag configuration. There are some awesome innovations in the PDW that I would have thought more of the innovations would have made into this, such as: dimpled fluting (like the current MPE3), reduced grip size, monolithic rail, and dual piston operations (relieving the lengthy buffer tube). Please forgive the inquest, it’s awesome to drive some action with existing parts bin, but as a NFA item the market is already limited. Could it be inferred that we will infact see a SR635 to market, and will there be a silencer for it?

It has an extra hole, maybe KAC needs a lobbyist to help fix that law.

That one's pretty clearly stamped SR16 5.56mm

Though I think there are PLENTY of people who want the PDW in their collection without a doubt. Ammo would be the pita I think though..

I thought the same at first, then I read "From the outside it appears to be a short CQB-R. but the gun is chambered for KAC's 6x35." (m4carbine.net)

I gathered that there is a magazine for this. Maybe someone else can chime in so I am not poaching the thread from them. Thanks!

I might add, is there a suppressor for this mean little machine?

We are going after the LE/Mil market with upper and mag change only. We are working on a second model with more features but this gun /upper could be brought to market quicker and at a lower price point. You still get the advantages(reduced recoil and better lethality) of the 6 x 35 over 5.56 out of these short bbls.

The 8" version. Its lighter than the PDW and considerably less expensive.

As III stated its a drop on system for entites who already have M16 FOW's - either M4's or LE Dept's that can get a lot of free DRMO M16A1's.
You can get a compact lightweight system, with low recoil and increase terminal effects over a 5.56mm system.

As well it brings to market the 6x35mm Knight's round.

As to what the future may bring only III and time can tell

I agree, getting any platform to take this round to market it will benifit the demand curve. 0 to X! I know am sure this sounds a bit coy considering the fine minds at KMC/KAC, but could a comsumer "pistol" format bridge the gap and sum the consumer into market. Could it be safe to say "pistol upper?"

Also, I like the rail weight reduction job and that machine work on the grip (like in the few other weapons) really say Knights! I have tons of questions, but I will leave it be...for now! :)

I will keep my eyes posted, but just keep us posted so we can go see Dillion to get our dies!

That upper would be sweet for one of my Dad's FA Colt lowers! I assume it's DI and not piston?

Kevin,

Will KAC be selling 6x35 ammo, or is another mfg involved?

What about sales to an SOT? I know he's not .mil/LEO but he's got about 15 transferrable M-16's and probably another 5 or 6 posties.

I am excited about this, with SBR's being so popular, this round is IDEAL for short barrels.
I think it is going to be a winner!

Hey Kevin, does this mean that the KAC NT3 will be available as well if this goes through?
