Personallly, I would love an 18" 1-7 bbl ,,,Id like a MK 12 build out of mine.

I bought the semi version of this because I have been hoping for a barrel/ bolt combo.

OG checking in. I am an original buyer with the rail, receivers, and I added a handstop and dust cover. I think the dust cover was silly of me, but it'll be funny to see it on there.

i'm an original owner of the 2009 and 2010 parts. only reason i don't have the 2008 is because i'm legally banned from owning it. it's not my fault, i swear! but i guess i don't qualify to be on the OG list anyway. :?

I'm not an OG but, I have all the parts including the dust cover and handstop. Hopefully i can get in but, if not, I have a Block II on order to ease the pain..I'm sure I'd only be dissapointed if it were to be an 18" Match barrel or a barrel that isn't goint to be a regular production item..

Now that I've seen some more pictures of URX+11.5" barrels I think that would be pretty tits for those who can have them. I'm going to add a poll to this thread if I can.

At first I was thinking I wouldn't want to engrave a unique item like these lowers but upon reflection I think it would make each one that much more unique, and tie it more closely to the owner and lessen the number of resellers. Of course, it has the potential to drive up the resale value if the pool of virgin lowers is reduced...

I dunno, I'd like to hear more from you guys on thoughts for the final piece. A barrel seems the most logical, but to be truly KAC it would need to be E3, and then it would need to include a bolt, and then it would start to get pretty expensive I'd think.

I second the motion for an 11.5in E3 configuration.

I'll third the motion :-)

I would suggest a 11.5" & 16" options to be available - this gives everyone a chance to parisipate!

jandbj wrote:OG here. Glad I checked in as I haven't been around much lately. 11.5" I'd love, but some of the group can't do SBR's so I'd happily settle for the 14.5 w/pinned attachment. Only item I haven't gotten yet is the handstop. Still need to do that!

Thanks to Trey, Casey & everyone else that has made this such a great opportunity!

This! :D

What about a 14.5"? It will give options for those who cant have a SBR to pin a FH/Brake and can also be used as a SBR if people choose to go that route. Has KAC ever produced a commercially available 14.5"?

Personally I would have zero use for a 14.5" barrel. I don't want an 11.5" barrel just to have an SBR, I want one because now that I understand the parts we have a little bit better I think it gives us the most compact overall package we can have with this rail. If we had rifle-length URX I would probably want/use a longer barrel but with the one we have I want to keep the gun small, personally.

Should be interesting on what III decides to have released to us. Barrels are definitely going to be one of the harder ones to maintain control on since everyone may want something different.

Good point with the rail..

How short of a barrel can we go and still mount a 762SD? Still 11.5 inches?

I believe I have seen it said that an M4-2k will fit with this rail and an 11.5" barrel, so I would think it would be the same for a 762SD.

Outrageously helpful of you. I forgot that this information is what was holding me back from the next step.

Thank you Rob.

Here's an update, it looks like this years offer is going to be an 11.5" e3 barrel and bolt combo so it will be more expensive compared to years past. Also if you are in a state that does not allow such items then let me know and we will have to figure something else out for those. As of right now I don't have final details on pricing, availability & dates, or any other spec's. Below is the list that rob_s was kind enough to keep on for us and I still have the original list that I will be cross checking, but if there are still any individuals that are supposed to be on the list and have not made themselves present you will be overlooked. Once I get more details they will be posted up, but right now things are pretty busy so this is not exactly on the top of the priority list. Thank you to everyone who has kept these items and participated over the years it has been an interesting experiment.

This is awesome news. I still have the parts in virgin condition. Time to get a Form 1 ready as well.
