How many lunchbox OGs do we have now?

Post by rob_s »

lunchbox = Xmas cheer special run parts. (go here to see why we call it "lunchbox")
OG = "original gangster", or people that bought the parts, when offered, direct from KAC, not re-purchase from someone else, beginning with the lower.

I'm just curious as to how many people we now have that bought the lower in 2008, upper in 2009, and handguard in 2010, and still have all of the parts.

As a side note, I'd also be interested in hearing what those folks have done with those parts. Are you like me and just hanging on to them waiting for the next part? Have you built one rifle using all three parts? Have you spread the parts around across multiple guns? Did you SBR your lower? If so where did you engrave it? etc.

I SBR'd my lower. I was going to have my LLC info engraved by the trigger hole, but there wasn't enough room. So I just settled to have it engraved on the left side above the FCG pins. I had mine done by Ident and could not be more happy.

Got 'em all. Lower is SBR in process that'll join up with an 11.5" lunchbox railed upper. The upper receiver is on my go-to gun.

I've still got all my parts. They are currently sitting in the safe waiting to see if 2011 brings another piece of the puzzle.

I'm here with all the original parts. Built an 11.5" Costa style upper that I run on a different KAC SBR lower. Christmas lower has a SOPMOD on it, hosting a Mk12 Mod 1 until I get papers back to SBR that one as well.

Love all the parts like crazy :)

I've got all my parts in the safe just waiting for a KAC dimpled barrel and bolt/carrier. Hopefully xmas will be good this year.

OG here... Just finished my build with AAC 16" 300 BLK barrel - Can't wait to see the Fudds' faces when I take this deer hunting. Now if that leupold blackout specific optic would just come out.

I'm not a lunchbox O.G., but Briggs DEFINITELY has my favorite of them all with his KAC SR-22 build. Nice job :D

OG here and all of the parts are still in the boxes they arrived in. I am waiting to see what comes next and plan to build the rifle from 1005 lunchbox parts (as much as possible)

The next offering will be for the OG club only. Perhaps the last of the series. I will need a solid count.

I would like to know (from OG club only) if a 11.5" bbl is acceptable to all patrons. 14.5 with a pinned MB would be my personal other choice.

I wasn't really looking to SBR this setup. Any chance Knight's would SBR the lower similar to the Noveske program so it wouldn't need to be engraved? That would change my mind. I'd be out if it's a 14.5 with a pinned MB. I don't do pinned muzzle devices.

Anything would be awesome. Either way I'm still in, I like being part of the club that still has all the pieces. I think the problem with a 14.5" pinned is that you'd have to get it unpinned in order to use it unless it already has a barrel nut and gasblock installed. An 11.5" E3 barrel with the ability to buy a bolt afterwards would be tits. And Neil would be a busy man doing installs!

I would be VERY interested in an 11.5, especially if it was an E3 and we could get the bolt with it.

The 14.5, for me, would depend on the MB that was pinned and whether or not we'd be able to get the rail installed.

I would much prefer the 11.5", depending on E3.

Since there are probably only 15 of us left it could be the last of the UNS-SR's for $250. That would be cool!!!

I still have all my original parts. The lower has a KAC two-stage trigger and sits beneath a Centurion Arms Mk12 Mod 1 upper.

The upper has been mated with a Colt M4 Socom 14.5" barrel and lives with an SBR and a Colt M16A1.

The LW URX with integral spring-loaded front sight is still sitting in its original box.

Trey, an 11.5" barrel is absolutely acceptable! Thanks.

I am still here also if you would please add me to the list Rob.

I am down for whatever Trey decides to do, although I do like JonnyC's idea about the UNS!
I completed my build before the release of this years rail but I have been thinking about sending my upper back to Neil to switch it.

Thanks again KAC for the awesome program!
