Yes, it can be legal to make a silencer. For everything Form-1, from silencer designs that are easily made, to filing forms with the BATF, to 3D modeling. Remember, you must have an approved BATF Form-1 to make a silencer. All NFA laws apply.

For my next F1 I would like to build a .223 can

This will go on a MK18 copy. 12" barrel

I will only be shooting supers out of it.

Stainless or Titanium tube. Stainless internals 7" long

Looking for advice on tube material, wall thickness, baffle type and number.
