A very talented and ingenious gentleman shared his skill making a metal engraver on YouTube:

Many transferable processes that some might find interesting.
Long ago in a 'far distant verdure' indigenous craftsmen made
effective suppressors out of bamboo, mud, aluminum strips
salvaged from ' metal birds that dropped from the sky', and
wire.
Where there is a will talent will find a way.
Win Texas, Win.
Talent Overcomes Not Having A Lathe or Mill

Perfect in naming the thread and a great link to watch. Sorry I've been away from here so long.

Wow!
A real poster again.
Have not visited since spoilers have dispoiled this
once great site into a sad 'slum neighborhood'
which we painfully see on TV news each night.
Other sites have a tight filter on who can randomly
post.
Would it not be wonderful in this new year that
spammers regain their integrity and use their varied
skills for good.
As comedian Judy Tenutta says "It Could Happen".
Best to all.

I would love to see this site regain its glory as Historian mentioned. I wonder what happened to all the folks?

I would've never thought of doing half the things he did for equipment improv...
