Does FMJ .22lr exist - or is it all just copper coated?

Does anyone know if FMJ ammo exists for .22lr exists?

No FMJ's that I'm aware of. All the ones I've seen are copper coated.

I remember reading somewhere that they used an actual jacket on some .22lr in WW2 to comply with Geneva conventions, but it could have been total BS and I don't remember where I read it.
If you're feeling suicidal you could always try to pull the bullets from .22 mag that's 40gr and try to seat that in a .22LR case, but I personally wouldn't touch that with a 10ft poll

I just read about that in one of Paulson's silencer reviews. It's mentioned on the 5th page of the .PDF available at http://www.advanced-armament.com/articl ... ms0203.pdf.

Specifically, he wrote:
